My interest in posture has grown out from my observations of my shiatsu clients. The workshops I run are aimed at enabling people to feel more confident, effective and happy with themselves and in their environment, whether at home or in the workplace. As well, they provide a way to keep fit and free of muscular-skeletal problems, particularly back pain. Emphasis is placed on a short step and refining the waist. They are suitable for the interested individual or for businesses. I have also worked recently for a breast cancer charity.

The workshops are fun. Simple, easy to learn, effective excercises are taught, emphasising the importance of the front of the body in aligning the spine. We also target the neck/shoulder area- a comman cause of complaint and referral to body-workers.

One-to-one tuition consists of five appointments, one of which is usually a shiatsu or seitai-shiatsu session. Then  follow-ups may be booked as and when needed.

Most aquired postural problems are caused by either weakness or, very commonly, contraction through stress and tension. This leads to distortion of the muscular-skeletal system. In addition, this increases fatigue and wear and tear. Our aim is to unpick these emotionally aquired habits and return the body to its natural form.
